The Southern California Chapter serves communities in Southern California and Southern Nevada.
The Arthritis Foundation is the only national, voluntary health organization that works for all people affected by the more than 100 forms of arthritis and related diseases. They have been fighting America's biggest crippler since 1948, and are giving new hope to the nearly 40 million American with arthritis.
Arthritis Facts
Nearly 40 million Americans are affected by arthritis: one in seven people. Children, too, are affected by arthritis: an estimated 250,000 children in the U.S. face daily pain caused by arthritis. See the official homepage for many current arthritis facts and tactics.
The Foundation website offers an enormous number of informative brochures which you can order to be sent: General Information, Self-Management, Daily Living, Family Life, Children, Advocacy, Treatments, Medications, Types of Arthritis, and more. Spanish language brochures are available.
Volunteers are needed throughout the Southern California Chapter to help lead Arthritis Foundation classes, including support groups, exercise classes and self-help classes. Contact nearby branches if you are interested in attending a volunteer leader training.
