Background
The San Fernando Valley Girl Scout Council provides life-changing programs, services and activities to a growing number of Girl Scouts throughout the San Fernando Valley. Years from now, the girls touched by your example of giving will be encouraged to become supporters of the next generation. In this way, Girl Scouting will continue to be a strong positive influence; helping them learn to make wise decisions, explore a wider range of career options, and experience programs that can even save lives.
...programs which provide exceptional opportunities for growth in self-confidence, positive influence within their families, and proactive leadership roles in the communities where they live. Girl Scout involvement includes volunteerism at local shelters, churches and synagogues; graffiti removal and understanding and addressing the needs of the elderly.
...programs which help maintain Camp Lakota, our 58 acre camp facility in the Los Padres National Forest, where girls are able to learn and grow through relevant Girl Scout programs.

...programs which provide troop leader courses in basic leader training, First Aid and CPR, troop camping, outdoor skills training and ongoing adult enrichment training. This is to ensure that each troop has a qualified, trained leader who will be a positive role model for your daughter.
