Who helped form a neighborhood
council in Highland Park?
The Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council (HHPNC) was started in July 2001 by a cross-section of concerned community members. Residents, educators, students, religious and business representatives began meeting to begin the formal process of organizing a neighborhood council. After nearly a year of meetings and community outreach, the HHPNC was formally certified as a neighborhood council by the City of Los Angeles on May 28, 2002.
