Background
Established in 1952, the Jewish Historical Society of Southern California is celebrating more than 40 years of preserving and interpreting the Jewish experience in Southern California.
The Society preserves written, spoken and photographic records; publishes Legacy, a popular journal; holds public meetings on aspects of Jewish history in Southern California; offers tours of Jewish historical sites; mounts exhibits and works to preserve historic landmarks.
