Background
The Parents Television Council is appealing to television sponsors to stop paying for programming that sends "TV filth, vulgarity, coarse humor, pre-marital sex situations, violence, killings, and all the rest into American living rooms and children's bedrooms."
They are raising money to run ads in newspapers, etc. appealing to the general public to "be counted as one who agrees that TV is leading us down a moral sewer."

The Parents Television Council is the Hollywood project of the Media Research Center, which is recognized by the IRS as a tax exempt non-profit organization under Sec. 501(c)(3). Contributions can be accepted for unlimited amounts and are tax deductible.
