Lynn Westlund, Area Director
Established nearly 20 years ago, this large local area serves nearly a thousand
athletes throughout the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys, Glendale,
and Burbank. Tri-Valley
Special Olympics is experiencing an exciting period of growth and change.
It has been esimated that we are only reaching 15% of the individuals eligible
for participation in the Special Olympics.
A strong Outreach Program is currently being established to reach prospective athletes through schools, work programs, city programs and by establishing bilingual communications for the Spanish speaking population. This Outreach Program is one of the primary areas for which Tri-Valley Special Olumpics is currently seeking volunteers to help them attain their goals.
